THERAPY

Support for Life’s Complex Emotional Terrain

Therapy offers a space to make sense of the struggles you’re facing, not by fixing or erasing them, but by exploring what they mean in the context of your life, your values, and your hopes.

It’s a journey you don’t have to walk alone; together, we’ll make space for insight, healing, and the possibility of something new emerging from what feels heavy or unclear.

Therapy with Individuals

I work with adults navigating a wide range of challenges, from trauma, anxiety, and grief, to identity exploration, life transitions, and burnout.

Not sure what you need yet? That’s okay. We can figure it out together.

Many of my clients come from marginalised or intersectional backgrounds, including First Nations peoples, migrants and refugees, LGBTQIA+ individuals, those who are neurodivergent, or living with disability.

I bring a trauma-informed, culturally responsive lens to this work, creating a space where your story is honoured without judgment and where complexity is met with curiosity and care.

With deep experience in supporting people who’ve had to carry a lot for a long time, I focus on building emotional insight, psychological flexibility, and a stronger sense of agency, so you can show up more fully in your life, on your terms.

Frequently asked Questions:

  • Therapy can support you through a wide range of experiences, including trauma, anxiety, burnout, grief, identity exploration, cultural adjustment, and major life transitions.

You don’t need to be in crisis to seek support. If something feels heavy, stuck, or hard to carry alone, therapy can offer a space to explore what’s going on and what you need.

  • I draw from a range of evidence‑informed approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness‑based cognitive therapy, interpersonal therapy, attachment‑based therapy, and psychodynamic‑informed frameworks.

All of these approaches are trauma‑informed and are adapted to fit your needs, your pace, and your unique story.

  • Send an enquiry via the contact form, and I’ll follow up by offering a brief, fee‑free Zoom or phone meeting (about 15–20 minutes).

This gives us a chance to see whether working together feels like a good fit. If you’d like to take it forward, we can schedule our first session.

  • Sessions are typically 60 mins (individual). The first session for couples is 90 mins.

Frequency depends on your needs. Some clients attend weekly, others fortnightly or monthly.

  • Session fees vary for different services provided. Fees for all services are listed on the booking portal.

Fee subsidies may be available through Medicare (through a mental health care plan), DVA (Gold or White Card holders) or other systems (e.g., WorkSafe).

I am a registered provider with Medicare, DVA, and WorkSafe.

Therapy with Couples

I work with couples who want to better understand each other, navigate conflict, repair trust, or simply reconnect.

Not sure what you need yet? That’s okay. We can figure it out together.

Whether you're managing ongoing stress, parenting pressures, or deeper relational wounds, I help you slow down, notice what’s happening beneath the surface, and develop ways of relating that feel more secure, compassionate, and aligned.

My approach supports couples from all backgrounds, including those in cross-cultural or neurodiverse partnerships, queer and non-traditional relationships, and those impacted by trauma or systemic stressors.

I bring experience, structure, and emotional nuance to the process, helping both partners feel heard and supported as you work toward a more meaningful, resilient connection.

Frequently asked Questions:

  • I work with couples at all stages of their relationship: from those feeling distant or disconnected to those working through trust issues, communication problems, intimacy concerns, or ongoing conflict.

I support cross‑cultural couples, neurodiverse partnerships, queer and non‑traditional relationships, as well as couples in more typical relationship structures.

My focus is on helping both partners feel heard, understood, and able to reshape their communication in more productive ways, whether that leads to moving forward together or finding a different path with clarity and respect.

  • Couples come to therapy for many reasons: to work through communication challenges, recurring conflicts, feelings of distance, or parenting stress. Some seek support navigating life changes like separation, cultural adjustment, or intimacy concerns.

I provide therapy that can help couples heal from past trauma and find clearer, more respectful ways to connect with each other.

  • Each session is guided by what’s most helpful for you as a couple.

We might explore your patterns of interaction, work through recent conflicts, or develop new ways of communicating and relating.

I provide structure and support so both partners feel heard, understood, and part of the process.

  • Send an enquiry via the contact form.

I’ll follow up by offering a short, fee-free Zoom meeting (15–20 minutes) so we can decide together whether therapy feels like a good fit.

Sessions can take place remotely (online) or in-person. We can discuss these options during our call.

  • Fees for all services are listed on the booking portal.

Please note that fee subsidies are not available through Medicare for couple’s counselling.

Therapy with Veterans & First Responders

I provide specialised support to veterans and those who are serving in high-pressure roles, including work in remote and regional areas.

Not sure what you need yet? That’s okay. We can figure it out together.

My extensive experience in working with people affected by overwhelming stress and adversity informs an approach that is sensitive, evidence‑based, and supportive.

I assist veterans and emergency service personnel in managing the emotional impacts of service, including recovery from critical incidents, ongoing stress, and the challenges of reintegrating into community life.

I’m registered with both the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) and WorkSafe, ensuring access to tailored services that respect the unique needs of these populations.

Frequently asked Questions:

  • Common areas of support include trauma recovery, emotional regulation, hypervigilance, moral injury, difficulty adjusting to civilian life, relationship strain, and managing stress or burnout.

For veterans, therapy can also provide space to reflect on identity shifts and long-term wellbeing after service.

  • I work with veterans, current serving members, and others in high-pressure roles, including those in emergency services or remote and regional deployments. I also work with first responders, including paramedics, police, firefighters, and frontline healthcare workers, who may be carrying the cumulative impact of critical incidents, shift work, or organisational stress.

My approach recognises the unique demands of service-related experiences and focuses on restoring balance and increasing wellbeing.

What this work can look like

In my therapy work, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals as they move through some of life’s most challenging terrain.

One client, for instance, came into therapy feeling overwhelmed by a long history of complex trauma and burnout.

They described feeling stuck in cycles of self-doubt and emotional reactivity.

Through steady, trauma-informed work drawing on attachment and Internal Family Systems approaches, they gradually began to experience their emotions differently, developing more regulation, clarity, and ultimately a renewed sense of self-trust.

This wasn’t a quick or linear process, but it was deeply meaningful.

The shift wasn’t about “fixing” something broken. It was about reclaiming space in their own life, and navigating relationships and responsibilities with more ease and authenticity.
